    Bristol Eastern Girls Lacrosse picked up a strong 12-7 win over E.O. Smith to improve to an impressive 8-2 on the season.

    The Lancers continue to build momentum and show why they’re one of the teams to watch as the season moves forward.

    Final: Bristol Eastern 12, E.O. Smith 7
    Record: 8-2

  • Bristol Central Holds Off Ridgefield Rally For 6-5 Victory

    The Bristol Central softball team built an early lead and held on late Friday to earn a hard-fought 6-5 win over Ridgefield.

    The Rams exploded for four runs in the third inning to take control of the game. Madelyn Milkowski, Baileigh Adkins, and Myah Steiner all delivered key RBI singles during the rally.

    The bottom of the lineup came through in a big way for Central, as Kiley Simone, Kylie Nass, and Myah Steiner combined for five hits and three RBIs.

    Myah Steiner had a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs, while Madelyn Milkowski also drove in two runs. Kylie Nass added two hits in the win.

    In the circle, Kendra Creamer battled through seven innings to earn the victory. The right-hander struck out six while allowing five runs, only two of them earned.

    Ridgefield made things interesting late, cutting the deficit to one run, but the Rams defense held strong to secure the win.

    Bristol Central finished with 10 hits in another strong offensive performance as the Rams continue their solid season.

  • Wood Powers St. Paul to 12-0 Win Over Watertown

    St. Paul Catholic softball stayed hot Friday with a dominant 12-0 win over Watertown, backed by a huge day from Kaitlyn Wood and a lights-out pitching performance from Breyona Demora.

    Kaitlyn led the Falcons’ offense, going 3-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBIs. She singled in the first, launched a two-run homer in the second, and added another RBI single in the fourth.

    Breyona was outstanding in the circle, throwing five no-hit innings, striking out six, walking just one, and allowing zero runs.

    The Falcons jumped out early with a big first inning as Julia Kozlak, Isabella McCulloch, Peighton Giambra, Sydney Yanavich, and Kaitlyn Wood all helped drive in runs.

    St. Paul finished with 11 hits, led by multi-hit games from Kaitlyn Wood, Peighton Giambra, Julia Kozlak, and Breyona Demora.

    The Falcons also played clean defense, committing no errors, with Stella Boucino leading the way behind the plate with six chances.

    Another complete team win for St. Paul Catholic.

  • Bristol Central Girls Tennis Continues Strong Season, Improves To 9-1

    The Bristol Central girls tennis team continued its outstanding season with another strong performance, improving to 9-1 on the year and earning a spot in the latest Connecticut girls tennis rankings at #18 in the state.

    The Rams picked up impressive singles wins across the board:

    • Sarina Mullins defeated Vivian Hua 6-1, 6-1

    • Emily Gao defeated Martina Black 6-3, 6-2

    • Shandell Sanmartin battled through a thriller to defeat Shiza Zubairi 6-3, 3-6, 11-9

    • Annmarie Beauchman won convincingly over Isha Shenoy 6-3, 6-1

    In doubles action:

    • Abigail Deprey and Victoria Yatschenko earned a huge victory over Brooke Cody and Olivia Hader 6-4, 7-6 (9-7)

    Bristol Central continues to show why they are one of the top rising programs in Connecticut with depth, toughness, and strong play throughout the lineup. Congratulations to the Rams on cracking the state rankings!
